Great Wolford Parish Council

The Great Wolford Parish Council is a democratically elected body of five councillors representing the residents of Great Wolford. It plays a direct role in the local community and is a link to the district and county councils and other agencies on local issues. Meetings are held around six times a year in the church and are open to the public. They are advertised on this site, the village notice board and in the village newsletter. The village newsletter is emailed to all villagers about two weeks before Parish Council meetings. If you are not already on the mailing list please let the clerk have your email address.

The Parish Council runs a buying group for central heating oil. An order is made on the 20th of each month, or the nearest weekday after if this is a weekend. If you would like to join contact us and you will be added to the group. A reminder email is sent round to all the members of the group a week or so before the order date and the delivery will normally be 2 or 3 days after the order is made. Anyone making an order will be expected to contact the supplier before the delivery with their card details, there may be an additional charge for credit cards. The minimum order is 500 litres. Several local suppliers are contacted each month and the most competitive will get the order.
