The Wolfords Joint Parish Council is continuing with the heating oil buying group, previously run by Great Wolford Parish Council. There is no commitment required, and joining The Wolfords Fuel Group is very simple.
Orders are made on the 20th of each month, or on the nearest date afterwards if the 20th falls on a weekend.
Residents of The Wolfords who wish to order heating oil will be contacted around the 15th of each month and asked whether they would like to be included in that month’s order; if so, then responses are required before the 20th.
Once all orders and quantities are confirmed, local suppliers will be contacted and prices obtained. Usually, the supplier with the most competitive rate will be chosen. Once the order has been placed, an email containing delivery details and quantities will be sent to the supplier (a copy of the email will also be sent to residents who have requested a delivery). Residents are required to contact the chosen supplier and provide their payment card details prior to delivery (which is usually 3-4 days after the order is placed). All local suppliers have a minimum order of 500 litres. If a delivery is required before the 20th of the month, residents are quite at liberty to make an individual order.
